Browns get the Win over Jets - Sportsfinda's Marketplace

Week 2 held a Monday night Thriller as the Cleveland Browns traveled to take on the NewYork Jets. With both teams coming off a loss in week 1 they were desperately seeking a win. Being in NewYork at Meadowlands Stadium there was a bittersweet welcoming from fans to Odell Beckham Jr. who played for the Giants last season. His return to the Meadowlands was an exciting performance this game.

Odell Beckham wowed fans with a jaw dropping One-hand grab, numerous catches, and an electrifying 89-Yard scamper burning the Jets defense to the Endzone. Beckham finished the night with 6 receptions for 161 yards and 1 touchdown. Baker Mayfield played slightly better this week but still is adjusting to his explosive supporting cast. Mayfield passed for 325 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception.

Mayfield struggled on throws and decision making but hopefully that will adjust with experience. Running Back Nick Chubb punched it in the endzone rushing for a Touchdown as well. Defensively the Browns looked fast and a alert. The Browns accumulated 4 sacks. Myles Garrett wrecked havoc on the jets getting 3 sacks on the day. The Browns held the jets scoreless only to a field goal.

Jets offense struggled as quarterback Trevor Siemian got injured early. 3rd-string quarterback Luke Falk came in and passed 20/25 with 198 yards. Le’Veon Bell had a total of 129 all purpose yds on the day fighting to get up the field that just didn’t seem to be enough to get past the Browns defense into the endzone. The Jets defense broke down as the game progressed due to a scoreless offense, continuous 3 and out series, and big plays given up trying to contain the Cleveland offense.

The nail in the coffin was late in the 3rd quarter as Odell Beckham Jr. caught a short pass and put on the after burners leaving Jets defenders racing 89-yards to the endzone. The game finished with the Browns defeating the Jets 23-3. The Browns are now (1-1) and the Jets are (0-2). What will be the outcome for both teams this season? On Monday Night Football the Browns got the Win and Odell Beckham Jr. put on a show for fans that Night. We’ll find out More action to come this season as week 3 is ahead!
